The Fertility Center is a family-run clinic located in Barcelona. It is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of professionals (gynecologists, andrologists, nurses, biologists, etc.) with decades of experience and training in assisted reproduction.
Our gynecologists have over 30 years of professional experience, which contributes to the high success rate we offer in our treatments (in vitro fertilization, artificial insemination, egg donation, egg freezing, etc.).
We also incorporate the most effective and advanced embryo identification and selection techniques into our fertility treatments, such as preimplantation genetic testing.
Get to know the fertility laboratory
Our laboratory is equipped with the latest technology to ensure the proper handling and preservation of embryos. On the one hand, we have state-of-the-art equipment (incubators, laminar flow hoods, microscopes, etc.).
On the other hand, we have various mechanisms to control environmental conditions (temperature, humidity, etc.) and filtration systems to prevent the introduction of contaminants. In this way, we can replicate the conditions of the woman’s body, as if the embryo had always been in the womb.
The Barcelona Fertility Center has its own large laboratory divided into three areas:
Laboratory
of Andrology
In this area we perform semen analyses, semen preparation, sperm selection, and other tests related to male sperm. The Andrology laboratory has a positive pressure ventilation system, a laminar flow hood, a biological safety centrifuge, two microscopes, and an incubator.
Cryopreservation Laboratory
Space designated for the cryopreservation of oocytes and sperm, and the vitrification and devitrification of embryos.
This is a fundamental area in treatments for preserving female fertility (egg freezing) and in in vitro fertilization techniques that require egg donation.
Laboratory of
Embryology and PGT-A
This area is connected to the operating room. Therefore, any sample obtained (for example, oocytes from follicular puncture) is handled and stored immediately.
In this space, light and temperature conditions are precisely regulated. This allows us to maintain optimal conditions for embryo growth.

Artificial insemination

In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF)

Egg donation
This is an in vitro fertilisation treatment in which eggs from an anonymous donor are fertilised with the couple's sperm.
Double donation
It is an in vitro fertilisation treatment in which both eggs and sperm are obtained from anonymous donors.
ROPA method
For female couples, when both want to participate in the fertility process: one provides the egg and the other carries out the gestation.
Preservation of female fertility
This is an in vitro fertilisation treatment in which eggs from an anonymous donor are fertilised with the couple's sperm.
Directed intercourse
It consists of scheduling, through ultrasound control, the couple's sexual relations for the time of maximum fertility.
Fertility’s study
We offer fertility tests for men and women who want to check the status of their reproductive health.
Preimplantation genetic testing
It involves performing a biopsy on the embryos to detect abnormalities, such as Down syndrome.
